Photo: Equal Voices Arts win Arts Access Aotearoa Award at Parliament

We were thrilled to win an Arts Access Award in 2016, for the partnership behind ‘At The End Of My Hands’. The production was the result of a partnership between Equal Voices Arts, the University of Waikato and Deaf Aotearoa, with dramaturgy by Bill Hopkinson and was awarded the Arts Access CQ Hotels Wellington Community Partnership Award.

Arts Access Aotearoa explain that the awards ‘celebrate the contribution of individuals, groups or organisations providing access to the arts, and play an important role in profiling excellence and leadership in the arts and disability sectors’.

The team travelled to Wellington to accept the award and were part of a wonderful evening hosted by Hon Maggie Barry, Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage, in the Banquet Hall of Parliament.
