Sign Theatre Masterclass Aotearoa Performance 2019

Co-led by a Deaf/hearing artistic team – Sign Theatre Specialist Denise Armstrong and Dr. Laura Haughey, the team spent 3 days exploring Sign Theatre and developing solo stories for each participant to develop into a live theatre performance which was accessible to Deaf and hearing audiences.

In April 2019, Equal Voices Arts ran the first professional Sign Theatre Masterclass in Aotearoa New Zealand, at the Playhouse Theatre in Hamilton.
